When I was younger my stunt team went to the Juvenile detention centre to teach the guys how to ride and the breakthroughs were incredible. Their whole lives, these people have been told what's wrong with them and then they suddenly get a horse and it isn't going to criticise or judge them. Horses can't tell you what's wrong with you, you just have to start figuring it out for yourself and when you start riding you can feel that you have faced something on your own, which builds your self-worth. Horses teach you so much more about yourself than you may ever realise, but most importantly you feel a connection. Those emotions and qualities are too special not be shared and now I get to share them with everyone. We are trying to keep alive what we all did as kids; riding is just about enjoying that time with the horse, immersed in this raw beauty that we call home.
